Once part of a grand English villa, Cielo Flaxton has been lovingly restored into a luxurious eco-conscious retreat. While respecting its heritage roots—originally connected to Flaxton Hall Farm in Eastern England—we’ve infused the space with contemporary elegance and sustainability.

Cielo means Sky in Spanish  and when you’re here, you’ll feel as though you’re floating above it.

Here, history meets mindful living:

  • Heritage charm: the property’s history ties back to 1882, when land was first cleared for farming bananas and citrus. It later became known for community efforts, including the Flaxton Provisional School (1922–1967) and the Flaxton Model Village (1970), which drew visitors with its English-inspired miniatures.
  • Modern luxury: from the terrace, you’ll enjoy some of the best views in the Hinterland—breathtaking sunrises, valleys bathed in mist, and star-filled night skies.

How we started

Perched above the clouds in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Cielo Flaxton is more than accommodation — it’s a sanctuary for the soul. Designed with care and love, it blends modern comfort with the serenity of nature. Here, mornings begin with breathtaking sunrises, days unfold among rainforest walks and waterfalls, and nights sparkle under star-filled skies.

Part of the vision came from one of the owners, who has always lived with allergies. This inspired a deep awareness of how the smallest details can make a space healthier and kinder to the body. At Cielo Flaxton, everything is consciously chosen from hypoallergenic cotton linens and pure essential oils to eco-friendly cleaning practices that never use anything harsh or harmful.

Even the water is filtered throughout the entire property, meaning not only is the drinking water clean and pure, but every shower feels like the most refreshing spa experience. Every detail reflects the belief that true luxury is found in comfort, wellness, and connection to nature.
